Jennifer Gilliland: Special Education Facilitator
It is with great pride and pleasure to tell you that I have worked at New Boston Central School as a special education teacher since 1996. I earned my B.A. degree from Rivier College, double majoring in elementary education (K-6) and special education (K-12). In August of 2016, I was hired as the Special Education Facilitator. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Special Education Administration (K-12) at Plymouth State University. I fell in love with NBCS and its community, and in 2011, a dream was realized when our family moved to New Boston from Manchester. My husband Mike and I have two children – Caleb and Madeline. In my spare time, I love to read, hang out with my family and friends, and take lots and lots of pictures! I look forward to working with you and your children here at New Boston Central School!

Julie Karagianis: Special Education Secretary
We moved to New Boston in 2009 when our children started kindergarten, and instantly fell in love with New Boston Central School. Knowing how much they look forward to school every day, the best thing I could do was to give back my time to help wherever needed. I have been a parent volunteer for the past several years, and have had the pleasure to know the amazing faculty here. In January of 2017, I was hired as the Special Education Administrative Assistant, and am the newest member of the special education team. I am truly blessed to be working with such an amazing team, and look forward to seeing the smiling faces of staff and students each day!

Jacquelyn Cotnoir: Special Education Teacher
I attended Southern New Hampshire University, and graduated in 2012 with my B.A. in Elementary and Special Education. My first year out of college, I worked as a paraprofessional in the Derry School District. In 2013, I was hired by New Boston Central School as a special education teacher. After being a special education teacher at New Boston Central School, I learned that I love being part of the New Boston Community and also love the Special Education world. In 2015, I began working towards my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and graduated in December 2017.
When not doing school work, I spend a lot of my free time with my family and friends. I live in Manchester with my husband (Wesley), son (Christopher), and dog (Maggie). I was a cross-country/track athlete from middle school through college, and still enjoy attending races and running in my free time.

Karen Jones: Special Education Teacher
I joined this team of dedicated and talented professionals in 2009. My background includes ten years’ experience working with children, adolescents and families in mental health settings, and three years as a preschool teacher in Amherst. In addition, I worked for 3 years as a NBCS paraprofessional, during which time I grew to know that Special Education was the place for me! I returned to school to add a Special Education Certification to my Masters in Counseling Psychology. The skills that I've acquired in all arenas have dovetailed nicely as a Special Education teacher and case manager. I enjoy working with students of all ages.
When not at work, I love hanging out with my family. My daughter is a senior at Mass Art and my son is a freshman at UNH, so I’m adapting to being an empty-nester! My dog, Drake and cat, Batman are doing their best to keep me and my hubby busy!

Marcy Smith: Special Education Teacher
I am a special educator and case manager at NBCS. I have a B.A. in psychology and an M.Ed. in special education and elementary education. NBCS was my own elementary school, and later my mentor school for student-teaching. Before I became a special educator, I was a paraeducator in Manchester, NH.
My passion is working with children and being part of the amazing journey of finding their strengths and talents, as well as supporting them in setting and attaining goals. I truly believe that all students can learn and that they all have a gift to share. I’m lucky enough to be a part of that. When I’m not at NBCS, I enjoy supporting my boys in their sports, taking long walks with my dog, and enjoying the company of my family.

Lynn Wawrzyniak: Special Education Teacher
Hello! I am Lynn Wawrzyniak. (It sounds like: wars-knee-ak) I have been teaching at NBCS since 1996 and I absolutely love it here! Our school is special. It is engaging and exciting - a place that encourages the love of learning and growing.
I have taught both first and second grades. Most recently I have transitioned to into special education as a case manager. Before teaching at NBCS I taught in an integrated pre-school (much like ours here at NBCS), was director of an after school program, taught Kindergarten, and spent one year as a classroom assistant. I have a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities and Reading and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.
Outside of school, my favorite thing is spending time with my children. I have loved sharing the NBCS school experience with them! I like to get messy, be silly, and have FUN! I enjoy working outside in the yard/garden, taking a walk, reading, playing games or even digging in the sandbox! Newfound Lake, up north, is my absolute favorite place to be! Sometimes you may find me out and about in town or helping out at Recreation Department or Community Church events. If we cross paths, make sure you stop and say "Hello!"
